Golden Milk

Golden Milk is an ancient Ayurvedic drink that has been praised as not only delicious, but an excellent way to incorporate the incredible health benefits attached to turmeric.

Traditionally, golden turmeric milk that been used to fight colds, congestion, headache and sore throats, but more recently, turmeric has been more widely studied for its health benefits such as:

✅ Antioxidant

✅ Anti-inflammatory

✅ Aids in digestion

✅ Antiparasitic

✅ Anti-bacterial

✅ Anti-cancer

✅ Blood purifier

✅ Clears the skin

✅ Aids memory and brain function

Making golden milk is so easy, especially if you pre-make a larger batch of ‘instant mix” that you can keep on hand whenever you’re craving a mug of the gold stuff.

Though the black pepper might seem like an odd spice in this mix, adding black pepper to turmeric spiced food enhances curcumin’s (what makes turmeric so healthy) bioavailability by 2000%.


  • 4 Tablespoons ground turmeric

  • 3 Tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 Tablespoons ground ginger

  • 3 teaspoons ground cardamom

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Mix all ingredients in a small mason jar, shake well.


  1. Add 1 rounded teaspoon of your “instant mix” to 1 cup of plant-based milk (I use delicious and creamy oat milk!), and ½-1 tablespoon of maple syrup.

  2. Combine in saucepan whisk until its steamy.

Golden milk is a delicious drink loaded with antioxidants that may provide an array of health benefits, ranging from a healthier brain and heart to stronger bones, improved digestion and a lower risk of disease. Enjoy!
