Healthy Creamy Milkshake

A rich and creamy dairy-free tahini banana smoothie, naturally sweetened with dates. This makes one serving, so be sure to double up if sharing!


  • 1/2 cups almond milk (or milk of your choice)

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen works well too!)

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • 2 tablespoons pecans

  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds (or substitute chia or ground flax seeds)

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish

  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

  • 4 dates, pitted and quartered (optional)

  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)


  1. If the dates feel hard, soak them in hot water for 10-15 minutes to soften. Remove from the water and let cool.

  2. Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend at high speed until everything is incorporated and the mixture is completely smooth, about 1 minute.

  3. Pour into cup, and garnish with cinnamon and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
